Shuttle: The put-in is at the State Route 158 Bridge about 1.2 miles north of New Wilmington. To reach the take‑out, go south on State Route 158 to New Wilmington. At the intersection with State Route 208 in town, continue straight/south on State Route 956. Go about 2.5 miles to the bridge just past the junction with Old Mercer Road (State Route 1005) near Mayville.

Gauge: None. Check at the put‑in bridge. This is the shallowest part.

Normal Wet Period: No available statistics on seasons. Since this section is tiny, it should normally be runnable only after a heavy rain or during spring snowmelt.
